Laminate Flooring
Laminate flooring is made up of three layers pressed together under high pressure and temperature. The first layer is a glued High-Density Fiberboard (HDF). This is covered by a “design layer,” a photo of wood or tile printed on paper submerged in melamine resin to make it look like real wood or tile.
Then, it is covered by a transparent protective layer. Lastly, the product has a wood or tile structure pressed into the top layer. The flooring’s texture coincides with what it is made to look like.
